The last card of the opposition now is the magic 79 signatures. If they can muster it in time for the plenary vote, then “tuloy na ang litis sa Senado”.

If not, then we will have no other recourse but to “shut up or put up”. To put up means is to exhaust all means – legal or illegal to remove an illegitimate president.

It is not a destabilizing move to remove an illegal president but a stabilizing one. The moment that she had occupied the office by illegal means is a reason for us to remove her at all cost. As the constitution says, all power emanates from the people and sovereignty resides in the people. Thus, it is our mandate and duty to remove a bogus president.

If there’s anyone to blame for this so called “travesty of justice” in the House of Representatives its the opposition. Their very ineptness in dealing with the impeachment complaint is beyond stupidity. Their so called “amended complaint” appears more like a “second complaint” which is a no-no under the law considering that it tantamounts to double jeopardy (who were they trying to fool?)…the fact that they couldn’t muster the required signatures until now proves that there really is no concrete basis for impeachment. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a big fan of President Arroyo. But to say that the opposition was defeated in its impeachment complaint because the whole proceeding was railroaded by the administration is a big lie. Why were the congressmen able to impeach former president Joseph Estrada considering that he has more loyalists in congress than GMA? Let’s face it —- not many congressmen believe in their impeachment complaint.

Perception as defined by Merriam-Webster means either of the following 1. As a result of perceiving: observation 2. A mental image: concept. 3. Appreciation 4. Discernment. While being a witness in the Philippine setting, as defined by our Revised Rules of Court (Section 20, Rule 130) as “all person who can perceive, and perceiving, can make known their perception to other, may be witnesses” except disqualified by law. So far, I have yet to hear of any Dinky’s would be disqualification.

And to further test the legal correctness of your statement that “ Perception/intention -hindi mong puedeng dalhin sa korte yan” and other issues of legalities, kindly convince Malacanang and Congress to finally allow the impeachment trial to proceed.

This opposition is the worst this country has ever seen. Pa-pogi at media exposure lang ginawa nila. And that’s why we’re back to square one. The fact that the impeachment did not go thru Congress does not bode well for the country. I do blame the opposition for not doing a better job of getting the impeachment through. I was looking forward to this impeachment so we can all move on. No complaint was filed for weeks and I was wondering why everyone was clamoring for resignation when impeachment was a viable, legitimate alternative to get GMA ousted – YET no one was talking about a complaint. As far as rules, one impeachment complaint can be filed a year – that ONE is Lozano’s complaint. What were they doing when Lozano was filing the complaint? Nagtuturuan, nagsasagutan sa media. In this country of chismosos, don’t you think they would have gotten wind of Lozano’s complaint before it was filed? I think they were arrogant enough to believe that people would, once again, take to the streets. Shortcut ika nga.

Madaliin? Kelan ba na-file yung Lozano complaint? June 27 or 28 he filed it without an endorsement from a member of Congress, making it invalid. At that time, Francis Escudero even acknowledged the complaint was a uselss piece of paper. Morevover, he alleged that GMA allies would be tempted to endorse it to shield her from the one-complaint a year rule. Uh-oh, RED FLAG. When did the news of the tapes come out? Between May 31st and June 1, text messages were already being circulated about the tapes. June 2 it came out in media. Are you telling me there’s not one bright enough lawyer in the opposition who could’ve initiated a complaint in that time? They are mostly lawyers in Congress and most lawyers I know have brains. When news that Lozano filed his complaint came out, I was actually grateful that someone had initiated the process of impeachment…para matapos na ang gulo sa bayan. Nainip nga ako!

Kapag pumatol ka sa kanya sa kahit anong usapin o isyu dito ka lang nya dadalhin.

Naliligaw si benignO sa gubat ng sarili nyang kalituhan, kaya huwag nang patulan. Pabayaan na lang hindi naman nangangagat.

MitaMS, if you believe of the concept of numbers then go down to statistics. Why is it that NO poor person is sitting in the bureaucracy? Because statistics show that we are ruled by the poor by numbers.

O MitaMS i believe ur not a lawyer to suggest that Dinky’s revelation is just perception. I don’t know how blind people gets. Dinky witnessed GMA and Claudio talking regarding the Lozano complaint and to endorse it.

Use common sense here – who among you would try to persecute himself in court? GMA and Caludio arranging the endorsement of the lozano complaint is tantamount to filing a charge to yourself.

The perception is that it could be a gran-plan. But the witness showed that there was an apparent manipulation in the procedures.

MitaMS do you really think that your views are more accurate compared to U.P. College of Law Prof. H. Harry Roque Jr?

Regardless of our source whether Dinky really heard or overheard or perceived to believe that the so-called “unholy” plot to rig gloria’s impeachment, is a legal matter that need to be threshed out in a proper forum which is the impeachment trial. In layman’s term, Dinky is a qualified witness, if not a credible one.

If you have watched earlier the manifestation of Edmund Reyes, it will dawn about you how Malacanang resorted to “extra” legal means to achieve their ultimate goal of proctecting their principal. There is no question that the law requires at least 79 signatures for the complaint to reach the Senate but the ultimate question is what prevents it from happening? Is it the law? or Is it the invisible hand that circumvents the law?

We talk about the rule of law with impunity but some are simply blinded to subscribe faithfully to the its real meaning.
