Arroyo’s travel expenses
PRESIDENT Arroyo is leaving tomorrow evening for New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly and World Summit next week. How much have the president and her staff spent so far on foreign as well as local travel?
The Office of the President’s annual financial statements declared its expenses for foreign travel at P80.6 million in 2002; P109.9 million in 2003; and P115.9 million in 2004.
On local travel Malacañang spent the following sums: P10.9 million in 2002; P16 million in 2003; and P40.7 million last year.
When it comes to liquidating cash advances for travel, local or foreign, the Office of the President appears no better than other government agencies. It draws a constant reminder from the Commission on Audit to compel its officers to settle their cash advances within the prescribed period and to refrain from granting additional cash advance to those who haven’t done so.
At the close of 2004, Arroyo’s office had yet to liquidate P210 million in cash advances.

Dapat hindi lang yung expenses sa travel ng Malacañang ang busisiin. Kundi lahat ng mga appointed officials. At ano na ang nangyari sa mga sinabmit na ELECTION EXPENSES ni GMA nung 2004 Eleksiyon. I believe isa rin yun sa mga dinuktor at pineke bago isinabmit sa COMELEC. At kasama si Garci sa pagpayo ng panduduktor. Paki usisa nga PCIJ. Please lang para sa bayan!

what else is new, even if they liquidate, LIARS can always put anything
on the liquidation form such as ‘210M – Malacanang Grocery Items’ and
still get away with it. These people will always treat us as pigs expecting
that we will always fall for them. its the GO-GOYO i mean go-gloria

bakit hinde kasama mga apo at yaya? ang kapal ng mukha humarap sa UN sa klase ng governance nya lugmok sa hirap mga tao. di kaya may problema si arroyo sa pagiisep? may sarileng mundo yata ito. walang pakialam sa mga nasasakupan nya basta ok mga alipores nya. huh! kawawa naman tayo. sana pagbalik nya iba na nakaupo sa malakanyang. huwag ka na lang kaya bumalik. magsama kayo ng asawa(asawa nga ba?) at mikey the piggy, at garci.

Ganyan po tlga mga trapo… they live in their own world where they think everything they do is right. That only they have the right to live in extravagance. While all us other poor suckers scrape for food at the dumpster, watch our mom or our dad go abroad to seek better employment, resort to drugs, extortion and other crimes just to sustain us. Paano kaya magiging marangal ang mga tao sa pilipinas is ung mga namumuno sa atin ay mga gago, buwaya at sugapa sa pera???

disbursements go through strict auditing, hindi ganyan kasimple yan na sasabihin malacanang grocery items ok na. lalo pa’t malacanang is under the constant scrutiny of the media and the opposition minions. i hear officials and employees there almost have to beg and the disbursements are often delayed because of rigorous processes before the funds are released or the funds are denied and they have to cover for deficiencies out of their own pockets.

in malacanan, its a spend as you please. and COA as yet to audit an unliquidated amount of 200+ million pesos.

The figures shoot up every year, i just wonder when this lier, cheater & stealer sa palasyo will stop those travels, eh wala naman cya dapat karapatan to travel for the simple reason na PEKENG PANGULO sya. She even have the nerve to bring with her 50 entourage to UN Council not to mention the inclusion of the 15 thick faced, walang delicadezang Tongressman…….ay naku! sarap pala mag YES nakakarating ka sa New York all expenses paid using taxpayers money kaya tuloy need daw ng EVAT eh ……huhuhuhuhu!!! sori na lang sa nag NO New York Cubao lang kayo.

My Mom used to work for the government during the Marcos ere. Once a year she would travel to attend the World Bank summit. If I remeber right, Apat lang silang umaalis, Minister of Finance, his exec. assnt., CB governor and his assnt. Each were booked in a single occupancy room and were given minimal allowance. Wala daw kasing gastos masyado, kasi may food sa conference and may host for dinner everynight. Free din naman ang toiletries sa hotel. The conference lasts for about a week. She liquidates her allowance to the COA to the last cent. Ganito pa kaya ang mga government officials natin? Sana ganito pa din ka-honest yung mga public servants. These government should remind themselves that public office is public trust.
