A wealthy industrialist and one of the prime movers of Namfrel, the election watchdog, Concepcion led millions of volunteers who kept watch over the 1986 “snap” election. Namfrel’s parallel count exposed the fraud undertaken by Ferdinand Marcos and helped set off the chain of events that eventually led to People Power. Concepcion joined the Aquino Cabinet but resigned amid a corruption controversy. He remains active in Namfrel, although the group has recently come under a cloud of doubt for supposedly favoring Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in the 2004 elections.

Thank you Mr. Concepcion for having the courage, dedication and the vision to make our country a better place. I am hopeful as well that by 2020, the Philippines will have felt and seen the changes. All we need to do is get involved and isolate the corrupt few.
*Enough protectionism and be global, embrace it to our advantage.
*Buy Philippine made products.
*Think globally and act locally.
*Be vigilant and fight back against corrupt murderers.

joecon more than amply fits the Pinoy poli/econ tragic reality, “… the rich get more richer, the poor becomes more poorer”, after EDSA 1.
a pity, the interviewer chose to treat the subject with kid gloves- hardly investigative. an opportunity missed, if only to see the likes of him lie through their teeth if queried the ff: a.) as Cory A. Trade & Industry Sec., did you fully divest yourself of ownership from companies attributed to you?, b.) did your companies secured, unsecured loans from govt. owned banks and other govt financial institutions (GFIs)?
why he was allowed to sing praises of himself is beyond me.
despite Nur M. larger than life image, at least shiela c. did not forgot to ask uncomfortable questions in another podcast.
