Bunye on the media

PRESS Secretary Ignacio R. Bunye’s statement on the media:

This Government has never acted out of whim or caprice, but only under the principle of public necessity and the national welfare. Be that as it may, the courts are fully open to receive challenges to official actions, and to rule on them. The Bill of Rights is in force.

The press is not a target of censorship but some members of the press have been charged with violations of law and shall be prosecuted just like any ordinary citizen.

We believe in the freedom of the press but we do not believe in special treatment of media practitioners who run afoul of the law.

We urge media to police their ranks and be watchful over interest groups out to abuse the freedom of the press for their own personal gain.

To Toting Bunye:

How sure are we that the challenges we are going to make is decided fair and square? And when i say “fair and square,” i do not mean the Gloria way!

Well, asan na ang Impeachment Trial? Asan na ang AFP report on the participation of some generals during the 2004 election?

At, with regards the media, asan na rin ang resulta nung mga mediamen na pinatay during the administration of Gloria in the Palace?

Aber, nga, aber? Police their ranks, police your ranks also. We are paying you. And police your ma’am, too!

respect the rule of law ba kamo? courts fully open to challenges of official actions? bill of rights is in force?

here’s the facts:

if you have a valid complaint against glue-ria ang her cohorts, what you get is whitewashing of the complaint, eo 464, cpr and pd 1017.

but when the fake govt. charge you with sedition for expressing your disgust or for the exposes, you go straight to jail without any warrant and without bail. and even if the court orders your release, they will simply ignore it for lack of jurisdiction! hey, the human rights case against marcos was decided by a US court. why are you honoring it?
so, who is violating the law mr. bunye?

Mr. Bunye, you and GLUE must be reminded that YOU are the PUBLIC SERVANTS. IT IS NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. YOU WORK FOR THE PEOPLE and IT IS NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. It is the VOICE OF THE PEOPLE THAT MUST BE HEARD and NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Gets?

Mga lasing sa kapangyarihan………Iba talaga itong si Bunye, may pa police, police your ranks ka pa. Ano kayang demokrasya ang pinagsasabi ng sinungaling na ito. If one lives in a “LIE”, the “LIE” becomes that truth. Pukpukin kaya kita ng truncheon sa ulo para magising ka sa katotohanan. Suwelduhan ka lang namin kaya ayusin mo yang trabaho mo.

The TRUTH hurts Mr. Bunye. Aminiiiin!!! Kaya nga nandyan ang media repression thru all sorts of intimidations. Pero, hindi puedeng maging public necessity or in the interest of national welfare ang mga pinaggagawa ninyo against media. ABSSUURRRD talaga!!!

Being a catholic and since holy week is fast approaching, I tried to find KIND words to discribe IGNACIO R. BUNYE. Here they are:

!. TRUTHFUL sa paninindigan kahit pinagtatawanan
2. CONSISTENT sa pagsisinungaling
3. LOYAL sa kaibigang mandaraya, sinungaling at manloloko.
4. MASIPAG maglubid ng kasinungalingan
5. MARUNONG umiwas sa kapalpakan

a timely read in today’s bread from rbc ministries (odb Phil. edition):

“The much-loved children’s story Pinocchio is about a wooden puppet whose nose grows long when he tells a lie. His friend Jiminy Cricket chirps, “Let your conscience be your guide.” Pinocchio follows his advice, repents, and returns to Geppetto his creator, where he is given a heart of flesh and is freed from his strings.”
“There’s a principle in this story for God’s children. If we don’t listen to that voice deep down inside that tells us what we should and should not do, we live in bondage. But a cleansed conscience brings freedom.”
“Some people have no strong basis for making godly decisions. Their conscience is weak, and they can be easily swayed by the behavior of others. Then there are those whose conscience is defiled. The standard by which they measure good and evil is corrupted, polluted, and impure (Titus 1:15). But saddest of all are those who have a “seared” conscience (1 Timothy 4:2). They have resisted that inner voice for so long that they no longer hear what it has to say…”

Heartily dedicated to Secretary Ignacio TD Bunye. (TD stands for Two Discs)

To the tune of ” I Have Two Hands!”

I have two discs
The left and the right
I hold them up high
Oh my, oh my
Play them gently
One two three
There goes my place
In history…

Ignacius de Ibunyag (natin sa laht but if it backfires deny ng deny)… the erstwhile court jester of the jolly kingdom of missed oportunities ruled by its mighty but not respected and not liked.. that much maligned and misunderstood savior of the people.. Queen Glow II the Lucky and her not so loyal consort Miguel de Mantikilla-toh…Ministers of the realm include Michel’ da Defender (of the status quo), RRRRRaul da Just (follow wat i say.. no buts or ull be charged wid inciting to sedition), Norbert da Silent (EO 464), Virgil da Missing (until just recently) his cousin Joc-joc da Missing-too, my personal favorite Chavait da Warlord and lest we forget those generals of note.. Lomibao da Censor, Senga da Undecided, Esperon da Whistleblower and Vidal da Restrained (until PD 1017 maximum tolerance ba) Said chracters are i guess living inside their own world of medieval makebelieve.. wherein they think were still a fiefdom werein their powers is absolute.. and what they say is the law..
