Pacman KO’d

THIS picture had been circulating online via electronic mail days before the elections. It shows a wailing Manny Pacquiao being comforted by his trainer Freddie Roach. The faces of both the boxing champ and Roach were superimposed on bodies of two children, a testament to both Filipino humor and ingenuity.

The altered image, with an accompanying caption, “Pacquiao after the elections,” is ominously prophetic as the world super featherweight titleholder is behind in the congressional race of the first district of South Cotabato, trailing incumbent Rep. Darlene Antonino-Custodio by almost ten thousand votes.

Team Pacquiao might not find this funny. Then again, being a boxer and a true sport, Manny himself might be having a good laugh about this.
