i was so amazed how our Govt reacts on this newest influenza virus…i just saw the head of DOH interview thru ABS-CBN TV Patrol 6/11/2009, and he completely relying on the WHO’s pronouncement or assessment…and he always informing the general public that the people who got contacted with virus is only mild and not so serious, and can be treated with care…and when the news anchor man Ted Failon (welcome back! idol) asked the DOH secretary that who should be responsible for this influenza virus…and the gentleman says…” it’s the people themselves, they should quarantine themselves…and etc” but he forgot to mention on what are they doing to contain or to stop the flu virus in affecting the general public…he only saying that they are making a contact tracing and so on…but they are not doing anything to prevent the virus to spread out…now i just read the yahoo news and compare what the DOH secretary mentioned in the interview…is very scary…the WHO has declared that swine flu virus is now pandemic and the warning level is now at level 6…i am not saying that we should be panicking by now…but my point is…the DOH gentleman is misleading us on how we should treat this virus…and the Govt concern or DOH concern only on monitoring…not assisting the patient and they are not responsible in giving free medication…imagine…in 3 weeks time…the infected flu cases here in Phils has now reach to 92…and their concern only is contact tracing and WHO’s pronouncement…they have no plans on how to contain the virus to 92 cases only or a target only that there will be no more than 100 H1N1 infected person will going to happen in our country-nationwide. The H1N1 virus is now imminent and this must stop like the con-ass.
