Media score lack of transparency in Laiban project

In light of Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel seeking a Senate inquiry over the Laiban Dam project, the mainstream media has cast its eye on the proposed joint venture agreement between the MWSS and San Miguel Corporation. Last Thursday, the Business Mirror published an editorial to point out that “the problem lies with MWSS’s failure to observe standard processes for vetting big infrastructure projects like this.” This morning, the Philippine Daily Inquirer followed suit, saying that “the deliberate blurring of the details of a multibillion-peso contract hides a multitude of sins.”
