Mrs Arroyo goes to big dinner in Washington for $15,000
While the firestorm over the New York Post report of the $20,000-dinner at Le Cirque and the uproar over the PCIJ series on the wealth of the First couple (see part 1, part 2, part 3) continue, the Washington Post this evening reported yet another expensive meal for President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her party. The group had dinner at Bobby Van’s steakhouse hours after President Arroyo’s meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama.
Mrs. Arroyo’s party had a feast of “lobster, steak and fine wines,” the Post’s “Reliable Source”column revealed. “At the conclusion of the meal, an unidentified woman opened a handbag stuffed with cash, counted out bills and paid the $15,000 tab — which included a generous tip.” In Philippine pesos, that amounts to about P720,000.

OMG! I just heard Rep.Danilo Suarez over DZMM. He said was happy he was given a chance to air his side, but, please the people deserve to know the truth. This man just made himself ridiculous in saying the dinner was his treat for the First Couple’s anniversary but would not identify the lady who was reported to have picked up the tab and actually paid. Instead he said he reimbursed it when they were back in the hotel. Hellooooo!!!!! are u trying to save somebody’s face you can fool some people sometimes… some people all the time, all the people sometimes but definitely… not all people all the time!!!!!!!!

hindi ba sobrang sobrang luho at bawal sa batas na gastusin ni GMA ang P170, 000.00 na pera ng taong bayan, para lamang sa isang gabing pagtulog sa Waldorf Astoria Hotel sa New York , samantalang may 3.8 TRILLION na utang ang bansa?
