The People’s Right to Know

Our latest report looks at how in India — one of the world’s success stories of popular movements campaigning for Freedom of Information — a law enforcing and protecting the people’s right to information has enabled the people’s exercise of their rights to land, livelihood, life and liberty.

Very soon, if only the House of Representatives would ratify our own Freedom of Information Act, perhaps we could be more hopeful that the experience of India will soon become a unique Philippine story.
