PCIJ video: Media Murders
alarming under President Aquino

The Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism has produced an 8-minute video version of the story 23 Journalists Killed in 40 Months under PNoy, published Thursday on the PCIJ website.

The video details the alarming increase in the number of media deaths under President Benigno S. Aquino’s administration. In the first 40 months of the Aquino administration, more journalists have already been assassinated compared to the same period under his more controversial and unpopular predecessor, former President Gloria Arroyo.

This video is only the first part of a series on the media murders under President Aquino. The succeeding videos will discuss how gunmen and masterminds are able to kill journalists at will without fear of getting caught.
