Mrs. Aquino’s statement

FORMER President Corazon Aquino yesterday called on Filipinos to seek enlightenment from prayer in these troubled times. This is her statement.

People power has succeeded only if it is for others. It was so in 1986, when those who led the revolution led from the front; it was so in 2001. But People Power for oneself will never succeed.

I, too, have been pressured to speak up. Excuse me but I had a good reason to keep my peace until I was ready. I was praying. Praying for light, for myself and our country.

Last night, I paid a call on Susan Sonora Poe. I congratulated her on the passion of her speech, and the sincerity of her convictions. But I made it clear that I will always stand by the Constitution.

I believe that the Constitution contains all the ways by which one may safely effect even the most difficult political changes. There is no need to step outside it. To step outside the Constitution will only expose us to greater danger than the injustice we want to correct.

I don’t know how many people still believe in the power of prayer but I do.

I really believe in prayer and prayer has always guided me rightly, both in what I should say and when I should say it.

When I opted for participation in the 1984 election under Marcos, I was criticized as being naive.

The victories of the opposition, notwithstanding a rigged election, gave the friends of freedom the true measure of their strength and the unwavering confidence to go on the snap election and the Edsa People Power Revolution.

Prayer and the strength and courage that prayer gives, gave us back our freedom and protected it.

Prayer and prayerful reflection have never failed me or failed our country. It will not do so now.

I repeat, without any embarrassment, my call for prayer and prayerful reflection so that, in the days and weeks ahead, the steps we take will be the right ones toward truth, justice, and peace.

The problem with Mrs. Aquino’s statement is the fact that it runs counter with what she had done in the past. I don’t know if EDSA 2 was in accordance with the Constitution.

I think she failed to back up that statement with concrete and sound proof of her sincerity and impartiality. We all know that she was in the forefront during EDSA 2. She was there because she knows then that prayers will not remove Erap from Malacanang. She realized that only a mob rule will make things happened and unfortunately she’s right.

Erap was ousted not because of a constitutional process but because of a mob rule and Mrs. Aquino knows this very well. Did she pray then? Yes, because that’s her front. That’s her instrument of fraud. That’s her charisma to beguile.

We all know that it was only later that, after the Supreme Court to justify and granting some semblance of legality of the unconstituionality of Erap’s ouster, it’s legality has been accorded.

Now, let’s go fast forward. Mrs. Aquino is now resorting to a reverse strategy of what she did in EDSA 2. She’s now admonishing people to pray because she knows that nothing’s going to happen when we pray. Gloria will remain in Malacanang as long as we’re praying and that’s the scenario she likes to happen. See the hypocrisy there?

Of course she will denounce a possible staging of another EDSA realizing that Gloria’s hold to power is very, very, very vulnerable to mob or mass actions. May kasabihan tayo sa Pilipino, “Ang magnanakaw galit sa magnanakaw.”

It is really sad to see people like Mrs. Aquino use and capitalize on the sactitiy of the sacred act of praying to suit her political preference.

I would advise Mrs. Cory Aquino to just keep quiet na lang at magdasal na lang kasi how will anyone believe her with what she had said when isa sya sa mga nanguna nung EDSA 2. She, with peping cojuangco, cardinal sin had planned for the staging of EDSA 2 tapos sasabihin nya ngayon na maghinay hinay. What freedom is she telling us na nakuha natin from EDSA 1 and EDSA 2 when we are still experiencing so much hardship para mabuhay lang? WE FILIPINOS WERE NEVER BEEN FREED.

I agree, it seems that Mrs. Aquino thinks that those who seek the ouster of GMA do not rely on the power of prayer. It would have been better, in my opinion, if she had gone out and supported PGMA, not this play-it-safe-behind-the-sanctity-of-prayer excuse. But, just like the rest of us, she has a right to her own opinion, and I respect that. haay naku.

Friends,

Like Mrs. Cory Aquino, I believe in the power of prayer. And we should back our prayers with our actions that is according to the perfect will of GOD.

I invite you to join BRO. EDDIE VILLANUEVA and Bangon Pilipinas Volunteers in praying for our country today, July 1, 2005 at Folk Arts Theater, 6:00 pm until dawn.

i for one am praying that the guilty be charged and justice be served.. i cant believe shes taking a holier than thou safe side to this…hinde na cguro sya dapat makigulo pa, tutal gnagamit lng sya as political leverege. if shes not going to support one group or the other she shouldve just stayed quiet and abstain from releasing words that contradict herself.

prayer is different from person to person, and not all prayers are granted.. she sed her prayer has never failed her or the nation.. she should look at reality.. isnt this situation a perfect example of a failure. a failure to some, are a prayer fullfilment to others. u pray for truth, justice, but hinder its wake.. what are u praying for in the first place?

Abide by the constitution? OK, Cory should then advise GMA to step down now. Then who takes over? Noli for now? Or will the office of the VP be also left vacant? So Drilon is next in line? He was with GMA in Iloilo yesterday. GO AHEAD! Isama na rin si Brenda :)

It seems that adhering to a double standard is the subtle advocacy of Madame Cory for it is so easy for her to invoke the rule of law when in truth and in fact she used to be the beneficiary of denouncing the 1973 Constitution.

The separation of the Church and the State should be stressed so that We, the Filipino Masses, will not be clouded with false dogmas and doctrines as we exercise our political judgment.

We should all pray for that.

Excuse me rin po with all due respect mam cory, let’s be true to ourselves. is requesting a cheater/thief to return what he/she stolen unconstitutional? Mam, you should have at the very least read the transcript of the tapes before you prayed. No amount of prayers can change the fact that GMA cheated in the elections and tried/still tries to cover up that fact. We cannot have a set of standards for Marcos and Erap and a different one for GMA. I wonder if you will have the same reactions if ERAP or MARCOS were the ones caught talking with a comelec official? It is very easy for evil to triumph, all it takes is for good people to just stand at the sidelines, do nothing and go on with their lives. What more if the supposedly good people in our society supports it. Indeed GOD HELP US.

Christianity: Who Invented The Trinity ?

The three monotheistic religions– Judaism, Christianity, and Islam– all purport to share one fundamental concept: belief in God as the Supreme Being, the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe. Known as “tawhid” in Islam, this concept of the Oneness of God was stressed by Moses in a Biblical passage known as the “Shema”, or the Jewish creed of faith: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.” (Deuteronomy 6:4)

It was repeated word-for-word approximately 1500 years later by Jesus when he said “…The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord.” (Mark 12:29)

Muhammad came along approximately 600 years later, bringing the same message again: “And your God is One God: there is no God but He, …” (The Qur’an 2:163).

Christianity has digressed from the concept of the Oneness of God, however, into a vague and mysterious doctrine that was formulated during the fourth century. This doctrine, which continues to be a source of controversy both within and without the Christian religion, is known as the Doctrine of the Trinity. Simply put, the Christian doctrine of the Trinity states that God is the union of three divine persons– the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit– in one divine being.

If that concept, put in basic terms, sounds confusing, the flowery language in the actual text of the doctrine lends even more mystery to the matter:

“…we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity…for there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, another of the Holy Ghost is all one…they are not three gods, but one God…the whole three persons are co-eternal and co-equal…he therefore that will be saved must thus think of the Trinity…” (excerpts from the Athanasian Creed).

Let’s put this together in a different form: one person, God the Father + one person, God the Son, + one person, God the Holy Ghost = one person, God the What? Is this English or is this gibberish?

It is said that Athanasius, the bishop who formulated this doctrine, confessed that the more he wrote on the matter, the less capable he was of clearly expressing his thoughts regarding it.

How did such a confusing doctrine get its start?

Trinity in the Bible

References in the Bible to a Trinity of divine beings are vague, at best.

In Matthew 28:19, we find Jesus telling his disciples to go out and preach to all nations. While this “Great Commission” does make mention of the three persons who later become components of the Trinity, the phrase “…baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” is quite clearly an addition to Biblical text–that is, not the actual words of Jesus– as can be seen by two factors:

1) baptism in the early Church, as discussed by Paul in his letters, was done only in the name of Jesus; and

2) the “Great Commission” was found in the first gospel written, that of Mark, bears no mention of Father, Son and/or Holy Ghost–see Mark 16:15.

The only other reference in the Bible to a Trinity can be found in the Epistle of I John 5:7. Biblical scholars of today, however, have admitted that the phrase “… there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one” is definitely a “later addition” to Biblical text, and it is not found in any of today’s versions of the Bible.

It can, therefore, be seen that the concept of a Trinity of divine beings was not an idea put forth by Jesus or any other prophet of God. This doctrine, now subscribed to by Christians all over the world, is entirely man-made in origin.

The Doctrine Takes Shape

While Paul of Tarsus, the man who could rightfully be considered the true founder of Christianity, did formulate many of its doctrines, that of the Trinity was not among them. He did, however, lay the groundwork for such when he put forth the idea of Jesus being a “divine Son”. After all, a Son does need a Father, and what about a vehicle for God’s revelations to man? In essence, Paul named the principal players, but it was the later Church people who put the matter together.

Tertullian, a lawyer and presbyter of the third-century Church in Carthage, was the first to use the word “Trinity” when he put forth the theory that the Son and the Spirit participate in the being of God, but all are of one being of substance with the Father.

A Formal Doctrine Is Drawn Up

When controversy over the matter of the Trinity blew up in 318 between two church men from Alexandria–Arius, the deacon, and Alexander, his bishop– Emperor Constantine stepped into the fray.

Although Christian dogma was a complete mystery to him, he did realize that a unified church was necessary for a strong kingdom. When negotiation failed to settle the dispute, Constantine called for the first ecumenical council in Church history in order to settle the matter once and for all.

Six weeks after the 300 bishops first gathered at Nicea in 325, the doctrine of the Trinity was hammered out. The God of the Christians was now seen as having three essences, or natures, in the form of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Church Puts Its Foot Down

The matter was far from settled, however, despite high hopes for such on the part of Constantine. Arius and the new bishop of Alexandria, a man named Athanasius, began arguing over the matter even as the Nicene Creed was being signed; “Arianism” became a catch-word from that time onward for anyone who didn’t hold to the doctrine of the Trinity.

It wasn’t until 451, at the Council of Chalcedon that, with the approval of the Pope, the Nicene/ Constantinople Creed was set as authoritative. Debate on the matter was no longer tolerated; to speak out against the Trinity was now considered blasphemy, and such earned stiff sentences that ranged from mutilation to death. Christians now turned on Christians, maiming and slaughtering thousands because of a difference of opinion.

Debate Continues

Brutal punishments and even death did not stop the controversy over the doctrine of the Trinity, however, and the said controversy continues even today.

The majority of Christians, when asked to explain this fundamental doctrine of their faith, can offer nothing more than “I believe it because I was told to do so.” It is explained away as “mystery” — yet the Bible says in I Corinthians 14:33 that “… God is not the author of confusion …”

The Unitarian denomination of Christianity has kept alive the teachings of Arius in saying that God is one; they do not believe in the Trinity. As a result, mainstream Christians abhor them, and the National Council of Churches has refused their admittance. In Unitarianism, the hope is kept alive that Christians will someday return to the preachings of Jesus: “… Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve.” (Luke 4:8)

Islam and the Matter of the Trinity

While Christianity may have a problem defining the essence of God, such is not the case in Islam.

“They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity, for there is no god except One God” (Qur’an 5:73). It is worth noting that the Arabic language Bible uses the name “Allah” as the name of God.

Suzanne Haneef, in her book What Everyone Should Know About Islam and Muslims (Library of Islam, 1985), puts the matter quite succinctly when she says “But God is not like a pie or an apple which can be divided into three thirds which form one whole; if God is three persons or possesses three parts, He is assuredly not the Single, Unique, Indivisible Being which God is and which Christianity professes to believe in.” (pp. 183-184)

Looking at it from another angle, the Trinity designates God as being three separate entities — the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. If God is the Father and also the Son, He would then be the Father of Himself because He is His own Son. This is not exactly logical.

Christianity claims to be a monotheistic religion. Monotheism, however, has as its fundamental belief that God is One; the Christian doctrine of the Trinity — God being Three-in-One– is seen by Islam as a form of polytheism. Christians don’t revere just One God, they revere three.

This is a charge not taken lightly by Christians, however. They, in turn, accuse the Muslims of not even knowing what the Trinity is, pointing out that the Qur’an sets it up as Allah the Father, Jesus the Son, and Mary his mother. While veneration of Mary has been a figment of the Catholic Church since 431 when she was given the title “Mother of God” by the Council of Ephesus, a closer examination of the verses in the Qur’an most often cited by Christians in support of their accusation, shows that the designation of Mary by the Qur’an as a “member” of the Trinity, is simply not true.

While the Qur’an does condemn both trinitarianism (the Qur’an 4:171; 5:73) and the worship of Jesus and his mother Mary (the Qur’an 5:116), nowhere does it identify the actual three components of the Christian Trinity. The position of the Qur’an is that WHO or WHAT comprises this doctrine is not important; what is important is that the very notion of a Trinity is an affront against the concept of One God.

In conclusion, we see that the doctrine of the Trinity is a concept conceived entirely by man; there is no sanction whatsoever from God to be found regarding the matter simply because the whole idea of a Trinity of divine beings has no place in monotheism. In the Qur’an, God’s Final Revelation to mankind, we find His stand quite clearly stated in a number of eloquent passages,

“… your God is One God: whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner.” (the Qur’an 18:110)

“… take not, with God, another object of worship, lest you should be thrown into Hell, blameworthy and rejected.” (the Qur’an 17:39)

— because, as God tells us over and over again in a Message that is echoed throughout ALL His Revealed Scriptures,

“… I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore, serve Me (and no other) …” (the Qur’an 21:92)

It’s not that I don’t believe in the power of prayers. In fact, praying and the idea of hope and faith has kept me ‘lucid” all this time. I respected Tita Cory ever since. But I strongly feel she should have kept herself quiet… and stop using God and His name.

Tita CORY naman, puro na nga lang ako dasal e… i’m not judging you but i don’t think your prayer is more powerful than mine.

And, by the way, it’s the same Constitution that the bit***y Gloria plans to change next year.

(‘Langya sya kamo! THE LEAST SHE COULD DO IS BE HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY and SELFLESS dahil wala na syang nagawa para mapabuti-buti naman ang buhay namin kahit gano kami kandakuba sa trabaho, TAPOS NANG-GAGAGO PA SYA!)

I agree with Mrs. Aquino that a people’s use of its power to replace a leader who has lost her mandate/moral ascendacy to govern is always “for others”. But to say that the use of “people power now is outside the Constitution” should have been expressed by someone else, not her.

I and I think millions of others like me believe, with the same passion I had when I and my family took to the streets in 1983 to cry against the barbaric assassination of her husband, in 1985 to protect her votes for the Presidency, and then in 1986 to face tanks to force the dictator to resign, that the Constitution grants me the same power to replace Mrs. Macapagal-Arroyo for being less than honest with the people and using her position for herself, not for others. And I and my family will pray that she find it in herself to do the honorable thing for the good of the country and her countrymen — RESIGN.

It seems so easy for her to invoke the Rule of Law when in truth and in fact she used to be the beneficiary of the people’s denouncement of the 1973 Constitution during Marcos time.

How easily can she forget.

She should first practice what her hand made 1987 Constitution advocates : the inviolable separation of the Church and the State.

Problem with her is, she’s confusing her political judgment against her false dogmas and doctrines.

Here’s what really don’t understand…..

1986, Mrs. Aquino calls for people power against a obviously rigged election and successfully outed FM.

2001, Mrs. Aquino calls for people power against a president accused of accepting jueteng bribes and successfully ousted ERAP.

2005, Mrs. Aquino calls for prayer and support for a president who already admitted rigging the elections and accused of accepting jueteng bribes.

She should join her husband.

First paragraph of Cory’s prepared speech:

People power has succeeded only if it is for others. It was so in 1986, when those who led the revolution led from the front; it was so in 2001. But People Power for oneself will never succeed.

So is Cory implying that Susan Roces’s demand for Gloria’s resignation is only “for oneself” and not for the people despite the fact that Susan’s demand is for the whole world to know the truth about the last presidential election?

Mrs. Aquino bends where she can benefits. She won’t call for the ouster of GMA because she sees no one in the opposition who will serve her interest when GMA is out. Thats pure and simple. She has lost moral ground. Mrs. Aquino should pray harder to overcome her GREEDS.

why cory won’t call for the ouster of GMA?

here’s something biblical, since cory is such a
pious woman:

No wonder walang dating presidente
gustong bumato.

sorry this is a repeat of what i already submitted
to pcij bloggers.

A translation for foreigners:

It is not easy to throw stones. it is like a smirking Gloria
with her back to the wall. Confronting her were CORY,
Fidel and Erap each holding a stone but can’t throw the
stones at her because Christ said. You may stone her if
you are clean (a very bad translation, i must admit).

No wonder, no past living president will throw stones
at her.

the unstated lesson in the above: no past president
will even pick a stone, much more hurl it to a successor.
Only the current impostor president will pick a
stone and bash her own head with it.

Sana inamin nyo nya lang ang pagkakamaling ito and if I may quote Gen. Fortunato Abat “Mrs. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is a TERRIBLE MISTAKE”.

si cory dasal ng dasal,
nabasa ba ninyo yung sinulat
ni Fr. Faraon sa kolum niya,
si kris aquino daw ay siyang
pinakamatibay na palatandaan
na si cory hindi pinakikingan
ng diyos. yan ay kung ipinagdadasal
pa niya si kris.

sorry fr. faraon, i hope i did
not mis state what you wrote.

tanungin ninyo ang mga batang
nag aaral sa catholic schools
hindi sabi sa kanila ng mga madre
“Do not utter the name of God in
vain.”

Hindi ba kasalanan yung sa
ngalan ng Diyos, magbulag-bulagan
pagtakpan at isulong ang kasamaan?

No problem for the pious and prayerful
just follow in full the steps in confession.

I think she should have asked Gloria to resign. That’s the moral thing to do. When you here the tapes about people being kidnapped just to cheat in the election. Where is the CONSTITUTIONAL process there Mrs. Aquino? If Ninoy were here he wouldn’t waist a second to make a stand on this issue. As I said Mrs. Aquino bends the constitution to suit her needs not the Filipino people.

There is an ongoing project now – The Subic – Clarke Highway .

WHERE IS THE PHILIPPINES NOW? WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE PHILIPPINES NOW. IS IT BECAUSE GOD HAS LISTENED TO CORY’S PRAYER?

SINCE THE TIME OF MARCOS, CORY HAD BEEN PRAYING FOR THE PHILIPPINES AND ITS PEOPLE. CORY MUST CONFESS TO THE PEOPLE THE CONTENT OF HER PRAYERS. IS LIFE IN THE PHILIPPINES SO BAD NOW BECAUSE OF HER PRAYERS. IS OUR MISERY AND SORROWS THE FRUITS OF 20 YEARS OF CORY’S PRAYER?

CORY SHOULD CONFEESS EVERYTHING ABOUT HER PRAYERS. IF SHE CARES EVEN A LITTLE FOR HER
COUNTRY SHE WILL STOP PRAYING. SHE SHOULD LEAVE US ALONE. BETTER STILLL FORGET US WE DON’T NEED HER PRAYERS.

OF COURSE HER PRAYERS WERE EFFECTIVE FOR A FEW FILIPINOS. THEY NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD DURING THE LAST 20 YEARS.

CORY PLEASE LEAVE IF YOU CAN AND LEAVE US ALONE.

I keep on hearing the staement “mob rule because it was not following constitutional process”. Gloria was the vice President and the Presidency just became vacant because Erap cant find anybody to replace the cabinet members who resigned on him and cant make the military block the demonstrators. Whats more constitutional than that? Did Erap have an idea that his government will give up on him? I dont think so. He was so out of touch giving out favors to his drinking buddies.

Constitutions dont impose themselves on the people. Its a formalisation or institutionalisation of a common idea. And sometimes the common idea that a majority agrees upon is not written down yet but it is common and agreed upon by the majority. Its a numbers game. call it mob rule if you want but a body of people reached a common decision and they acted on it. Thats the most basic form of power. And ultimately the basis of the power of the people.

As to Edsa 3 And ‘Ayala whatever’ there is no majority there. the majority is in their homes disgusted at the situation but thinking things over waiting for the right group of people to present themselves. and unwilling to be deluded by the idea that they have to act fast and replace the President now by somebody who they believe will most likely do the same thing and make the situation worse.

Gloria will be replaced but not by the current opposition. When Gloria is removed it will be by changes so big even the current opposition will have a fit. It will be a wholesale generational change because the people now blame the entire generation of leaders that have failed.

cory is a joke. in case u dont knw the separation of hacienda luisita, 1/3 is for the cojuanco’s, 1/3 is for the farmers and 1/3 is for a cojuanco dominated paty all under 1 corporation. eh di sino ang panalo? dba dapat 50-50? or separate the titles accordingly… 3 hectares for irrigated land and 5 hectares for the non-irrigated lands? bakit ayaw? its the control of course.

sa rally doon.. madaming farmer pinapatay… the police are under the influence of the cojuanco’s.

also, tulad ng sabi ni joma… cory is the least person to advise philippines on the rule of law, constitution and her calls for sobriety.

edsa 1 and 2 are unconstitutional. on fairgrounds and on debates, the 2 methods are unconstitutional. ang nagpa-legal lang jan ay ang supreme court where majority of the justices are appointed by the revolution installed presidents.

this is the dirty part. the supreme court has biased and self serving laws that protects itself. hindi ito tulad ng engineering or medicine… hindi universal ang laws ng supreme court. masyadong mahaba ang usapan nito. sayang na lang ang oras….

para maganda.. i land reform na lang ito following the basic guidelines. lets see kung may say pa si cory pag wala na hacienda nila.

Hi everyone, I am new here but I could feel that I’ve finally found a home. It’s good to be in the company of minds that values the truth and honor more than greed and power unlike the over-staying tenant in the palace of Mordor.

I’m so tired of all these war of words..let’s cut the chase and ask ourselves…are you for the cheater or for the cheated? Your answer and the side you take will in some ways determine the future of our children. Please, let’s not forget that what we do now…will forever echo to all eternity…have mercy to the next generation of our great country. Gloria, if you are the intelligent soul that you claim you are…you should know by now how “to accept the things that you can’t change, to change the things that you can and to have the wisdom to know the difference”. These are not my words but am sure that it will help set you free from the bondage of greed and lust for power. I know that despite what you’ve done and the things that you still plan to do, there is still some good things within you. Dig deep inside and summon the courage to let go…sometimes, it is in letting go that you get much in return.

And here we go again…those who chose to be identified with the cheater is calling all heavens..preaching the gospel of observing the institutional processes and the remedies that the constitution provides…oh these people, they’re all guilty of one thing..Hypocrisy to the highest degree. They do have a very short memory or maybe it’s about arrogance and the mind-set that if it works for them it should be the right thing, otherwise, it’s all about destabilization. Can they not remember that they’ve trampled the Constitution not so long ago? Did they not chose to pursue justice on the streets of Edsa instead of sticking it out with what the constitution provides for? Did they not enticed the military to march to Edsa and join the fray of the barbarians in our society? You know who you people are…your words are as empty as your soul…may your devil friend bring you to your rightful place…the lake of fire, where brimstone and burning rocks will consume your filthiness for all eternity…be very afraid, the Devil has already prepared a place for you.

[…] The big news yesterday was Cory Aquino’s statement and the interesting decision by the majority in the House to go along with the playing of the Paguia tape: talk is that the administration has decided to raise the ante by preparing to release new tapes that show at least two opposition senators also talked to Garcellano (if this happens, the result will be that those senators will have no choice but to share the same fate as the president). Also, a new Civil Society coalition has called for the Comelec’s resignation. […]

For those who still believe in Cory …

According to our constitution,

ARTICLE XI
ACCOUNTABILITY OF PUBLIC OFFICERS
Section 1. Public office is a public trust. Public officers and employees must, at all times, be accountable to the people, serve them with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty, and efficiency; act with patriotism and justice, and lead modest lives.

Section 2. The President, the Vice-President, the Members of the Supreme Court, the Members of the Constitutional Commissions, and the Ombudsman may be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, culpable violation of the Constitution, treason, bribery, graft and corruption, other high crimes, or betrayal of public trust. All other public officers and employees may be removed from office as provided by law, but not by impeachment.

AND

ARTICLE VII
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT
Section 8.
In case of death, permanent disability, removal from office, or resignation of the President, the Vice-President shall become the President to serve the unexpired term. In case of death, permanent disability, removal from office, or resignation of both the President and Vice-President, the President of the Senate or, in case of his inability, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, shall then act as President until the President or Vice-President shall have been elected and qualified.

So, nasaan ang constitutional nung EDSA 2?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sana wag na tayong maglokohan! “People power has succeeded only if it is for others”? “Others”, such as, Guillermo Luz of the Makati Business Club? Joe Con and his cohorts in NAMFREL? FVR? GMA? your incumbent TRAPO friends in government? And, oh, the COJUANGCOs AND THE AQUINOs of this country?

There’s no question about Cory’s unparalleled & untainted moral ascendancy hence, it is no surprise that she would be the first one to severe ties from friends or political allies or candidates when the same trusted individuals seem to abuse, imperil or ruin the country. Hence, we saw Cory once endorsing Ramos yet rallied against tabako’s cry for “CHACHA” which reeks of Tabako’s idea of prolonging his or those of his protégés presidency or power trip. Next Cory endorsed Gloria but had asked the morally-bankrupt president to resign for the country’s good when she proved to be the cause of the country’s further decline & division brought about by the “Hello Garci tape” & jueteng scandals that plagued herself, her family & party mates.

Such a trait is so unusual, one that suggests Cory has nothing to hide against those that she had endorsed at one time or another yet confronted next for valid & nationalistic reasons, further confirming that she does not ask any favors from previously endorsed candidates & that she did & does not harbor any strings attached for endorsing her preferred candidates except in the thought that they may pose as better alternatives than the rest. Hail Cory Aquino, you’re one in a million ma’am, & because of that, you deserve our greatest & pristine admiration & respect!

On the other hand, the political triumvirate of the traditional politicians in GLORIA, Jose De Venecia & Fidel V. Ramos must be opposed in whatever degree, form or at cost as these three political frankensteins & mongoloids, fungus-faced as what Miriam Defensor had described tabako, because these three had, are & will only give the nation programs that are good for the country at the outset yet reeks of their hidden & vested interest in reality, such that they have to make sure their triumvirate persists & subsists even at the country’s devastation. Thus, it’s small wonder that FVR now proposes Charter Change or the shift to parliamentary form of government not only to give Gloria a graceful exit but also to make sure Gloria, JDV or FVR will continue to hold office even after after Gloria’s imminent exit.

Hence, with Gloria Arroyo & Jose De Venecia around, Tabako the FVR will always enjoy his political
undertones & exploits, his having a milking cow in Gloria’s pet government projects, thus we are bound to see another of Tabako’s scandalous & corrupt explorations equal if not greter than the “Philippine Expo 2000” & “PEA-Amari ” deal transactions which were quashed to powderform by Gloria Arroyo’s government.

A case of scratch my back & I’ll scratch yours, too. Tabako coming to the rescue for the resident squatter in malacanang, posing as the knight in shining armor for the lady in distress as joined by Jose De Venecia should serve as a warning to all of us that with the three around, we would be posed for another Scrupulous governmental deals & transactions of Philippine Expo 2000 & Pea-Amari deal magnitude.

Kaya to GMA, Tabako (FVR) & JDVenecia, if you still have some decency left, you must inhibit yourselves from the philippine political landscape at least for 5 decades!!!!!
