THE Bukluran para sa Katotohanan reiterated this morning its call for the resignation of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, threatening mass actions and other constitutional means of resolving the crisis if Congress throws out the impeachment complaint.

As it is now clear that the pro-impeachment congressmen were unable to get the 79 signatures needed for the impeachment complaint to be passed on to the Senate for trial, the opposition — composed of a range of groups, including supporters of former President Joseph Estrada, middle-class groups, students, religious groups and leftist organizations — is gearing up for a new round of protests.

"Umaasa kami na makamit ang katotohanan, yung lang ang pakay namin dito (We hope to get at the truth, that is our sole objective)," former President Coazon C. Aquino said at a press conference at La Salle, Greenhills. "We will follow what the constitution has declared. It is our duty to be there, what better encouragement to the congressmen than our mere presence?"

Aquino said she will join Susan Roces and former presidential candidate Eddie Villanueva in an inter-faith service and march tomorrow morning at St. Peter’s Church, along Commonwealth Ave. in Quezon City, just outside the grounds of the House of Representatives.

The House of Representatives is set to vote tomorrow on the Justice committee’s decision to throw out all impeachment complaints against the President.

"Mahirap pigilan ang mga tao na pumunta sa kalsada pag nabigo ang mapayapang paraan (It will be difficult to prevent people from massing up on the streets if peaceful options are no longer available)," said Villanueva. He said he will join the march tomorrow to provide moral support for pro-impeachment representatives.

Asked if the protesters have support from the armed forces, Aquino only said cryptically that as a former commander in chief, she still has friends in the military.

Defenders of this administration invoke the rule of majority everytime and insists the process as political, not judicial, and a simple numbers game. Fine. So let us get the numbers down to the streets and be as political as any mass movement could be and show them the true voice of the souvereign.

Why does the government (through PNP, AFP) seem to be threatening protesters that they will defend the constitution and the nation from any acts of violence should the pro-impeachment forces decide to go to the streets if the impeachment process does not progress? What exactly do they mean by acts of violence? And how would they interpret defending the constitution and the duly constituted authorities?
Also, the so called defenders of the status quo and people who believe the innocence of PGMA are tirelessly chanting the uncooperativeness of of pro-impeachment groups, blaming the latter for the dismal performance of the economy. Must we really be called destabilizers when what we only want to find out is the extent of the culpability of Mrs. Arroyo on the issue of cheating in the elections?

Let us all seek the truth ! IMPEACHED THE PRESIDENT!

First, they wanted to stage People Power. After a month of organizing rallies and demonstrations, people power did not materialize.
Second, they wanted impeachment over truth commission. Unfortunately for them, Atty. Lozano who is a long time card carrying Marcos Loyalist and Erap lawyer beat them to the draw and filed an impeachment complaint based soley on the Garci tapes. Inherently defective in substance, the Lozano complaint was thrown out. But wait, the Hyatt 4 have a chismis to offer, the Lozano filing and the subsequent Marcoleta endorsement is preplanned kuno by Malacanang.
Now, they’re back to their original plan: people power again. This time, the yin and the yang of Philippine politics are united against Gloria. This time, Cory is taking over the helm after the failure of the Susan/Erap/Marcos bloc. Will she succeed? Remains to be seen. But look at these condescending factors against her:
1. Her Presidency was an abject failure. Okay, its forgiven coz she’s only a transitional leader and she never stole any money.
2. Her aura of “sainthood” has been put into question by the wayward lifestyle of her daughter Kris and her ‘silence’ on the massacre of the Hacienda Luisita laborers where his son Noynoy is suspected to be involved.
3, Her besobeso with people who have Ninoy’s blood in their hands does not sit well with a lot of members of the Middle Force who shed blood and tears to dismantle the Marcos dictatorship.

Human Smuggling rampant na talaga sa SUBIC. Garci may not be the first one to be able to fly in and out of subic without being tract by Immigration, baka pati na yung mga illegal chinese and probably possibly terrorist.

Also, baka hinde lang Human ang ini-smuggled sa Subic pati na rin ang mga Luxury European cars and who knows baka pati na rin shabu.

GMA doesn’t deserved to be impeached because of the GLARING criminilities she committed but should resign out of delicadeza — if she has one.

Now, I can categorically state that only moronic people can be persuaded by GMAs claim for innocence.

Lantaran at Harapan na ang Pang-aabuso ni GMA sa kapangyarihan and yet some people doesn’t seem to get it by unknown reason.

GMA is the current and imminent problem of this country, Not Marcos, Not Cory and definitely not Erap.

We are just waisting our time talking about what we already know from the beginning regarding the political personalities.

Do we ignore the clamor for THRUTH just because the OPPOSITION are the prime proponent and seeker of it. Do we deny JUSTICE to those masa because the crime was committed by an ELITIST president.

How can Gloria Arroyo can claim innocence if her allies are party to deliberately flying Garcillano out of the country to avoid any attempt in investigating Garcilano himself.

The whole Poltical Scandal is based on the phone conversation of Gloria Arroyo and Garcillano.

How can we get to the truth if GMAs Political, Business and Religious allies had conspired in hiding Garcillano. How can we trust the congress if the same congressman had conspired with GArcillano during the election canvassing. How can we trust Rep. Gonzalez and The PNPs and there kinds if they had in the beginning conspired in cheating the Filipino people.

LYING PRIEST

In a press conference last July 10, running priest Robert Reyes announced that he was staging a hunger strike. With passion and determination, he declared that he was willing to forego nourishment until GMA steps down.

Reyes, as earlier noted in this blog, tried to do a Gandhi or a Ninoy. “Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori.” It is sweet and proper to die for one’s country.

Unfortunately though for this lib theo advocate, he miscalculated the press and the public as well. Except for his closest friends, nobody seemed to care. Not even the Church-owned Radyo Veritas covered Reyes’ attempts at heroism.

A month and a half later, GMA is still in power. And Reyes had to abandon his hunger strike.

Prior to his own [failed] version of Satyagraha, Reyes was very visible on television, relentlessly attacking the president. Surprisingly however, the very articulate Reyes has been quiet these days. When he last faced the cameras during a mass at the People Power Monument two weeks ago, Reyes was not in his usual fiery, combative mood.

Embarrassed? Maybe. After all, he reneged on his vow to shun nourishment until GMA is out of Malacañang. Simply put, he lied.

The moral of the story: huwag simulan ang hindi kayang tapusin.

There’s another Filipino adage to describe Reyes’ experience: Ang taong labis sa salita, kadalasan, kulang sa gawa.

Amen.

Tingin ko mali ang vocation ni Mr. Robert Reyes. Mali sa kanyang maging pari. Nakakahiya siya sa simbahang katolika. Pinagsabihan siguro sya ng Vatican at ni Papal Nuncio Franco.

So what else is there Loi_Pogi?

First lie, actually first hallucination:

“…they wanted to stage People Power. After a month of organizing rallies and demonstrations, people power did not materialize.”

Who did stage people power? In FACT, I remember it well that no rally was stage overnight or more day a day. The rallies was meant to rally a point to the center of Malacanan that the issue of cheating is a public concern.

Where you there? NO.NOT! So maybe its better to shut-up or just report what you really know… like GMA’s cheating cover-up?

Naku, ayan na naman ang peborit na past time ng mga Pinoy. People power na naman.

Just as a reminder of how People Power “revolutions” have become nothing more than a quaint relic of a romanticised past, check out what prophetic words this person had to say even way back in 2001

(check out the complete article by following this link)

“What will happen if Aroyo fails to do better? Another revolution to throw her out without even considering if the possible successors will do better? Just throw her out! ano ‘to, trial and error? Do you know the latest buzzword in the streets after Aroyo had taken her oath as the new President and after Erap resigned? Well the latest buzzword is “now we’ll have to wait for HER impeachment or the next revolution to throw her out.” YES, believe it or not. You wanted to know the inside story, well, that’s what people are talking about right now. Even my bosses, my officemates who were there in EDSA in support of the opposition. They’re the ones who are now saying, “Next to be overthrown—AROYO!” Imagine that! And last year, in October/November, everytime I get an email/text message from people urging me to join them, whenever i ask them, if Erap steps down, who do you think would be the better replacement and believe it or not 100% of them answered, ‘none’.”

Second hallucination:

“… they wanted impeachment over truth commission.”

They who? You? Who’s who?

GMA wanted impeachment more so she staged this grand plan of filing a weak case. So who’s they now? You?

CBCP was the one calling for the truth commission. To which GMA obliged in letter. But up to now NOT A PRIORITY.

A very personal and incompetent conclusion at best.

There is a time for silence and a time to listen. A time to reason and debate. Then there is a time to act; to make our voices heard. Never mind other people’s apathy. What is important is that when our children asked us what we did in the time of the dictatorship (of GMA and Ermita and Jo De V this time), we can look them squarely in the eye and say we did something. Unlike our prostituted Congressmen, WE did not go quitely into the night.
