APEC Rep. Ernesto Pablo: There is nothing wrong in voting for peace. What our people need is a longer and circuitous road in order to shorten the term of the President. What the people want is to shorten the distance between genuine equity and peace. Going to the streets will not lead us to that. The people deserve more. His vote: Yes

Negros Oriental Rep. Jacinto Paras: All of us persevere to secure the future of our children. When my children ask me, "Papa, did you sell out?" I want to answer them, "No, my children." His vote: No

Surigao del Sur Rep. Prospero Pichay Jr.: Provincial leaders are asking me, how long will the impeachment go on? There are other more pressing problems, they said. They want to put an end to this political bickering. Our focus is divided. I told them, "But if we do not go on, how will we know the truth?" They said, "How will we know the opposition is telling the truth?" The opposition wanted the ouster of the President from the very beginning. Not the truth. His vote: Yes

South Cotabato Rep. Arthur Pingoy Jr.: The accusations against the President are serious. The impeachment process will allow her to explain the charges hurled against her. We owe it to the people to know the truth. The conscience and the voice of the people must be heard. My loyalty to my party ends when my loyalty to the people begins. His vote: No

Agusan del Sur Rep. Rodolfo Plaza: Congressman Pichay says the opposition lied. We had the 73 votes but at the end of the day, it is up for them to decide. I also love the President. She is a personal friend. While I favor the committee report there are still many questions that have to be resolved. This has caused divisiveness. At this point it is futile to discuss technicality. His vote: No

Bacolod City Rep. Monico Puentevella: In life as in politics, there are no permanent friends, only permanent interests. All of you have united to fight one woman, the President, and to promote your ideology and interests. Are we in search of the truth? Where is the end to this? Our nation suffers. Can we not unite? His vote: Yes

Misamis Occidental Rep. Herminia Ramiro: I am not a lawyer to interpret the intricacies of the proceedings. I am a representative of my constituents. I searched my soul and consulted with my constituents. I respect the decision of the justice committee. Her vote: Yes

Zamboanga del Sur Rep. Isidoro Real Jr.: There are so many members in this House whose only capital is their honesty and now they are being questioned because they are favoring the report. I have to defend my President. She won in Mindanao and Visayas, she won in my province, she has helped us. We have never had it so good. We can never suppress the truth. Truth will always prevail. His vote: Yes

Cavite Rep. Gilbert Remulla: One of the happiest days of my life here is when I signed the impeachment complaint. Today is the saddest. These issues will all be swept under the rug just because of a mere technicality, and because of the tyranny of numbers. This will not be forgotten. The president should be brought to trial to answer and dispute the charges against her. His vote: No

Cavite Rep. Jesus Crispin Remulla: In the rules that we proposed, the consolidation of complaints is allowed. But what did the opposition say? They wanted the rules of the 11th Congress. This is not a moment for rejoicing. Next year, another impeachment complaint could be filed. I hope that the rules we will decide upon then will not bring this same dilemma. His vote: Yes with reservations.

Marinduque Rep. Edmundo Reyes Jr.: The lone district of Marinduque rejects the report.

Manila Rep. Miles Roces: The accusations against the President may either be true or not, but in the City of Manila there was no cheating. Let us respect the decision of the majority. This report will end the bickering and divisiveness. If we cold set aside our differences, we can unite for the love of the country. His vote: Yes

Bataan Rep. Antonino Roman: I worked hard for the President. I worked hard during the canvass and when the presumption of her innocence was threatened I stood up, not for her but for the presumption of innocence. All I wanted was an honest impeachment proceeding. This was not an honest impeachment proceeding. His vote: No

Camiguin Rep. Jurdin Jesus Romualdo: They do not have the monopoly of wanting to seek the truth. We also want the truth. I also vote with conscience. I want what is good for my province and for the country. His vote: Yes

San Jose del Monte Rep. Eduardo Roquero: In San Jose del Monte, there are those who would want the impeachment to go on. But as a leader, I make a stand: To prolong the impeachment proceeding will further divide our already divided people. His vote: Yes

Akbayan Rep. Loreta Ann Rosales: The impeachment process is the weapon of the citizenry. But Congress is hostaged: Positions being offered to relatives of our colleagues, funds and projects being promised by the President. The vote today will reverberate across the ages. I vote so that when my children look back to this, they will not say that we did not rage against the dying of the light. Her vote: No

Congressman Abante, I voted for you thinking youll do much better than Jimenez. Now am sorry I did. You’re no better than Jimenez. You promised better governance – under a president that didn’t even win the elections?

the intro of the committee report reads…

“Mr. Speaker:

Your Committee on Justice submits the instant Committee Report and the accompanying Resolution on the three (3) impeachment complaints…”

talagang “instant Committee Report” as in “instant coffee.” “di na pinag-isipan, itinimpla na lang!!!”

arroyo and cohorts:

you only prolonged the agony of the nation by hurriedly POSTPONING the truth to come out.

arroyo:

you’re not exonerated yet. you still won’t be able to face UN officials straightfaced and unblemished!!!

we’ll never stop until you confront your accusers…

May isa pa akong tanong.

A Sad Filipino. :(

I didnt want the impeachment at first. If it will just be Noli de Castro taking PGMA’s place…wag na lang. But looking at how I and our countrymen are living their lives today….
1. I work very hard, with a college degree..hindi ako tamad, I am highly dependable. Pero mahirap pa din ang buhay para sa akin…Other people are placed in good positions only because kamag-anak, kaibigan or kakilala ng mga naka-upo sa gobyerno.
2. I pay my taxes. I pay my dues. I give to charity.
3. I voted wisely. Because I believe that I should let my conscience work. :(haaay buhay!
4. I received a job offer abroad. Tempting….in a month’s salary there, i will earn what i am earning for a year dito sa Pinas. Pero hindi, i said to myself…I can still make a difference here.

I know that I am not alone in my sentiments. Malungkot..Nakakapang hinayang…. Masakit sa kalooban……Hopeless na yata ako. Congressman Chiz, pwede bang makipag meeting sa yo? I will do what I can to help my country. You might be able to give me a gleam of Hope….
